2021 Chevrolet Traverse

Chevy offers the Traverse in six trims and two special editions, the Redline and High Country. Each trim has subtle design differences, yet all remain unmistakably a Traverse. The front fascia presents an aggressive style, from the sculpted hood to the trapezoidal three-bar grille. Sleek LED headlights to either side of the signature grille combine with fog lamps set low and wide for a challenging stare. Chiseled lines along the sides blend with soft curves above the 20-inch wheels for an athletic posture. Black accents, badging, black roof rails, gloss black window trim, dark-painted aluminum wheels, and a black ice grille set the RS trim apart. The Redline trim comes with high-gloss black wheels with red accents, black painted lower molding with Black Ice insert, and black and red signature badging. Even the High Country separates itself from the pack with a chrome grille and 20-inch polished aluminum wheels.

Every Traverse comes with a 3.6-liter V-6 engine paired with a nine-speed electronic transmission with overdrive and driver shift control technology. This powertrain delivers an impressive 310 horsepower and 256 pound-feet of torque.

A capable front-wheel drive system comes standard, or you can equip all-wheel drive. The AWD system intelligently sends torque to the wheels with the most grip, improving your traction on various surfaces. Selectable drive modes include Off-Road and Tow/Haul, dialing in your throttle, suspension, and steering systems for enhanced performance.

The Traverse carries eight people in stylish comfort. Smart Slide second-row seats allow easy access to the third row. When you need to haul gear, the second and third-row seats fold flat, opening up a best-in-class 98.2 cubic feet of the cargo area. When you opt for the dual-pane sunroof, the cabin opens up to some spectacular views. A 7-inch touch screen runs all your in-vehicle tech with Amazon Alexa, Bluetooth, Apple CarPlay, and Android Auto support. Making calls, accessing navigation information, and streaming your favorite playlists happen with simple, intuitive voice commands. You can also upgrade to an 8-inch touch screen.

You can equip the Traverse with a suite of driver-assist systems designed to elevate your driving experience and keep you safe. Available systems include adaptive cruise control, forward-collision alert, automatic emergency braking, lane-keep assist, lane departure warning, rear cross-traffic alert, and lane-change alert with side blind zone alert. These systems use radar and advanced optical sensors to monitor your surroundings, alerting you to possible hazards. In some cases, these systems can provide emergency brake support and steering correction to mitigate a potential accident.
