2022 Chevrolet Trailblazer

The 2022 Chevrolet Trailblazer is available in four trims: LS, LT, Activ, and RS. The LS has 17-inch alloy wheels, while the LT adds roof rails, LED fog lights, heated outside mirrors, and tinted rear windows. The Activ comes with a tow hitch receiver, underbody skid plates, unique exterior styling elements, and a two-tone roof. The RS upgrades you to 18-inch alloy wheels, and with the Sun and Liftgate package, you get a hands-free liftgate and a panoramic sunroof. On the Activ and RS, you can also add the Technology package, which adds LED headlights.

You get a choice of engines on the Trailblazer, depending on trim level. The base engine is a 1.2-liter turbocharged three-cylinder paired with a continuously variable automatic transmission. This combination produces 137 horsepower and 162 pound-feet of torque. A second option is the 1.3-liter turbocharged three-cylinder paired to a nine-speed automatic transmission. This engine delivers 155 horsepower and 174 pound-feet of torque for a little more get-up-and-go.

Chevrolet knows that drivers enjoy performance-enhancing features that improve the overall driving experience and has added some to the Trailblazer for that reason. The four-wheel brake system is designed to keep you and your passengers safe when needed. Front-wheel drive is standard, but you can upgrade to all-wheel drive on any trim — you'll need the larger 1.3-liter for that. Automatic stop/start saves you more money at the pump by saving fuel when you're idling.

When you enter the 2022 Trailblazer, you'll notice that Chevy put some thought into the interior design. The LS comes with a Wi-Fi hot spot, six-speaker audio system, fold-flat front passenger seat, and 7-inch touch screen with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Moving up to the LT gets you proximity keyless entry and push-button start, cruise control, remote ignition, a power-adjustable driver's seat, and heated front seats. The Activ adds simulated leather upholstery, a rear-seat center armrest, leather-wrapped steering wheel and shift knob, and a heated steering wheel. The RS stands out with red interior accents. The LT and above can add packages for optional features such as rear-seat USB charge ports, an 8-inch touch screen, automatic climate control, wireless smartphone charging pad, and a Bose premium audio system.

Safety is a top priority when it comes to selecting a vehicle, and Chevrolet has packed the Trailblazer with safety and driver-assistance features to that end. Standard features include forward collision mitigation, automatic high beams, and lane-keeping assist. The Driver Confidence package adds a blind-spot monitor, rear cross-traffic alert, and rear parking sensors. You also get adaptive cruise control if you add the Technology package to the Activ or RS.
