2022 Chevrolet Trax

The 2022 Chevrolet Trax is only available in two trims: LS and LT. The LS rolls down the road on 16-inch painted aluminum wheels and has body-color door handles, liftgate applique, and power outside mirrors. You also get an acoustic laminated windshield, beltline moldings, and daytime running lights. The LT adds heat to the outside mirrors, LED daytime running lights, and LED taillamps. The LT also offers a black grille with a black surround and 18-inch Gloss Black aluminum wheels as available features.

Both Trax trims are powered by the same engine, a 1.4-liter four-cylinder paired to a six-speed automatic transmission. This combination produces 155 horsepower and 177 pound-feet of torque. The LS and LT come with front-wheel drive, which you can trade out for an all-wheel-drive system to provide better control on treacherous road conditions.

Chevrolet knows that drivers today prefer performance-enhancing features to improve the driving experience, so they've added several to the 2022 Trax. The four-wheel anti-lock brake system helps keep you and your passengers safe, while the power steering helps keep you in control. The ride and handling suspension system provides you with a smooth ride, regardless of the terrain. The StabiliTrak electronic stability control system with traction control works hard to keep you on your intended path.

When you slide into the new Trax, you'll notice that Chevrolet put time and effort into designing the interior to provide you with plenty of comfort and technology features. The LS has a 60/40 split-folding rear seat, Wi-Fi hot spot capability, a six-speaker sound system, and a 7-inch touch-screen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. The LT adds cruise control and upgrades the seating surfaces. Optional features on the LT include keyless ignition and entry, a power-adjustable driver's seat, and faux leather upholstery with heated front seats.

Chevrolet understands how important safety is when selecting a vehicle to purchase and has added a plethora of safety and driver-assistance features to that end. Standard features include a rear vision camera and three-point seat belts with pretensioners on the driver and front passenger seats. You also get a LATCH system and rear child security locks to keep the little ones safe. The Trax comes with an advanced air bag system with 10 air bags and OnStar to help protect you and your passengers in the event of a collision.
