Overview

All-electric SUVs offer a fuel-efficient option to carry the entire family or friend group. Two of the best all-electric SUVs on the market today are the Chevy Equinox EV and the Hyundai Ioniq 5. Keep reading to learn about these vehicles and which one is best.

2025 Chevy Equinox EV

The 2025 Chevy Equinox EV has two trims: the LT and RS. The most significant difference is that the RS has many features in the available Convenience Package for the LT. These features include wireless phone charging, Evotex seating surfaces, and roof rails.

Both Equinox EV models have a Level 2 340V AC propulsion battery that charges up to 11.5 kW. This battery allows the Equinox EV to achieve 109 miles per gallon equivalent with an estimated battery range of 319 miles.

The 2025 Equinox EV also comes standard with a 17.7-inch center touch screen and Chevy Safety Assist, a fleet of advanced safety and driver assistance features designed to keep you and your loved ones as safe as possible.

2025 Hyundai Ioniq 5

The 2025 Hyundai Ioniq 5 is a rare all-electric vehicle with five trims. Depending on your trim, your Hyundai Ioniq 5's permanent magnet synchronous motor will produce 168 or 225 horsepower and 258 pound-feet of torque. These motors have an all-electric range between 245 and 318 miles and achieve a combined 114 or 115 miles per gallon equivalent.

Each Hyundai Ioniq 5 comes standard with Hyundai SmartSense, a safety and driver assistance suite comparable to the Chevy Safety Assist.

Ultimately, the 2025 Chevy Equinox has a greater range than the Hyundai Inoiq 5 and better standard technology.
