The 2026 Equinox may be a small SUV, but the five-seat interior offers 41 inches of legroom in the front and only an inch less in the second row still make it ideal for transporting adult passengers. A 1.5-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine powers every model with 175 horsepower and 203 pound-feet of torque. Front-wheel drive and a continuously variable transmission are standard, while upgrading to the optional all-wheel drive system also unlocks an eight-speed automatic transmission.

Because the Equinox received a major redesign for 2025, there are few updates to the latest lineup, but all models now feature a standard drive mode selector.
