You can find a trustworthy road companion in the 2024 Chevy Silverado 2500 HD if you regularly tow heavy trailers or equipment. With plenty of power, convenience, and tech features, this truck is perfect for personal and commercial use alike. 2024 Chevy Silverado 2500 HD Performance The Silverado 2500 HD is designed to handle tough tasks and comes with powerful engine options capable of delivering the required muscle. Its standard 401-hp 6.6L V8 gas engine outputs 464 lb-ft of torque for a maximum conventional towing capacity of up to 16,000 lbs. With 5th-wheel or gooseneck equipment, the conventional towing capacity goes up to 18,700 lbs. If you need more power, an optional 6.6L Duramax turbo diesel engine produces a net output of 470 horsepower and 975 lb-ft of torque for a maximum towing capacity of 22,500 lbs when properly equipped with a gooseneck hitch. For enhanced driving dynamics and fuel efficiency, both engines pair with a 10-speed automatic transmission. All-wheel drive is available or standard across all trims for enhanced traction on slippery roads. Upscale Comfort The 2024 Chevy Silverado proves that utility trucks are synonymous with luxurious driving comfort. In the Regular Cab configuration, the interior features an ergonomic 40/20/40 bench designed to deliver outstanding back and lateral support, and that comes complete with convenient under-seat storage. Individual captain's chairs are available for enhanced comfort, while the two-row cab configurations offer everything from cozy seating surfaces to copious amounts of interior storage. The rear bench also boasts a 60/40 split design that allows you to customize the passenger and cargo spaces when the items you have to carry don't fit in the truck bed. Advanced Tech Features The Silverado 2500 HD has all the tech features we have come to expect from modern vehicles. Standard on the base trim is the Chevrolet Infotainment 3 system, which includes an intuitive 7-inch center touchscreen with smartphone integration and voice commands. The LT and higher trims boast Chevy's Google-based Infotainment 3 Premium system, which offers wireless Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, and SiriusXM. As expected from a work truck, this model also has loads of performance technologies. For instance, an in-vehicle trailering app is available or standard on the LT and higher models, and you can customize the truck with optional cameras. Cruise control comes standard, while adaptive cruise control is available on all trims. With solid capability and comfort, the Silverado 2500 HD is one of the best heavy-duty trucks.
